Man hit by truck is rushed to hospital in critical condition

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after he was hit by a truck on the Gold Coast.

Emergency services were called to Herbertson Drive at Molendinar just after 10.30am on Wednesday.

The man was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with arm and leg injuries.

Critical care paramedics and the high acuity response unit were on scene.

The truck driver was not hurt.
