Man could be linked to Parkinson double murder

An armed man who was shot dead by police on a busy Brisbane motorway on Thursday may be linked to the death of an elderly couple in a nearby suburb, police say.
The man, 22, was allegedly armed as he walked alongside the Logan Motorway at Drewvale around 6am on Thursday.
He allegedly threatened officers with a knife and was shot, police said.
He died a short time later.
About 3pm on the same day, an 87-year-old man and an 86-year-old woman were found dead when officers conducted a welfare check at a Parkinson home.
