Man attacked by crocodile in Qld
A man has sustained lacerations to his head, face, shoulder and hands after being attacked by a crocodile near a major northern Queensland city.
The attack occurred around 12.40pm on Thursday about 11km northwest of Cairns CBD at Lake Placid Road, near the Barron River, at Caravonica.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the man, in his 40s, was rushed to Cairns Base Hospital.
“He is in a stable condition,” he said.
“The lacerations were to his heads, face, shoulder and hands. They were minor in nature.”
