Singer Katy Perry has reportedly picked American actress Jennifer Aniston for the honour of being her childs godmother.The pregnant pop star has tapped her longtime friend to be her unborn daughter’s godmother, The Daily Mirror reports.
Perry, 35, is just weeks away from giving birth to her first child with fiance, Pirates of the Caribbean actor Orlando Bloom, 43.

Aniston reportedly broke down in tears of joy when the couple asked her to step into the role.
“She is pretty chuffed about it as well and cried when they asked her,” a source told the tabloid.
The two have been friends for nearly a decade and have bonded even further during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Katy and Jen are very close. During lockdown they went for socially-distanced walks, and spent lots of time catching up,” the source said.
Aniston’s already racked up years of experience as a godmother to Courteney Cox’s 16-year-old daughter Coco.
Perry is in high spirits ahead of her delivery. She’s showed off her baby bump in high-fashion ensembles on social media.

The Roar singer dished on her pregnancy while promoting her new album Smile on UK radio on Friday, joking, “I am waddling like a duck! I’m breathing heavily, I’m a full-on mouth-breather.”
