Investigation launched after Qld inmate found dead in cell
An investigation has been launched after a 26-year-old prisoner was found dead in his cell southwest of Brisbane overnight.
The inmate was on remand for assault charges and was found deceased in his dual occupancy cell at Arthur Gorrie jail about 2.55am.
Officers performed CPR and the Queensland Ambulance Service was called, but the man was unable to be revived.
