Instagram reaches 10-year-anniversary
Social media platform Instagram has been part of our lives for a decade with the photo-sharing app turns 10 on Tuesday.First released publicly on October 6, 2010 it began life as Burbn, a social check in app being developed by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, but they changed direction when they realised people wanted to use it to share photos.
And the rest is history.
It now has more than a billion monthly active users and is responsible for creating a whole new industry of “influencers”.
