IndyCar Series drivers Colton Herta and Rinus VeeKay have been cleared of injury after the pair were involved in a horrific crash on the weekend.During lap 156 the weekend’s first event at Iowa Speedway, Herta’s No. 88 Honda made contact with the rear of VeeKay’s No. 21 Chevrolet.
After the collision, Herta went airborne and soared along the protective barrier at pace before landing and sliding across the track.
The American’s car narrowly avoided striking VeeKay’s head during the incident.
