Industry giant plans to deliver new COVID treatment to Australia

Pharmaceuticals behemoth GlaxoSmithKline hopes to launch its maiden coronavirus treatment and, if all goes well, it will be destined for Australia.The multibillion-dollar industry giant has received a “provisional determination” from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for an antibody treatment called Sotrovimab.
“This allows the sponsor to apply for registration under this pathway. This is not an approval,” a TGA spokesperson told NCA NewsWire.
