Hilarious video shows mum chase alleged tinny thief
A Gold Coast mum has captured the moment an alleged bumbling thief attempted to steal her son’s tinny by rowing away.
The footage, uploaded to Facebook by Gold Coast woman Penelope Howard on Friday, shows the man using a paddle to row the tinny away from Ms Howard as she gives chase into the water.
Police confirmed the man was arrested on Friday afternoon and now faces a raft of serious charges.
Ms Howard can be heard in the video shouting “thief” and ordering the man to “get back here” as she leaps into the canal.
