Health authorities wait on 200 coronavirus tests
Queensland health authorities are anxiously waiting for the results of 200 tests linked to the highly contagious UK variant of coronavirus that triggered a three-day lockdown on Friday.
On Monday morning, the state’s chief health officer Dr Jeannette Young confirmed the lockdown would end but revealed authorities are still scrambling to squash the threat of the new variant in the Sunshine State.
She said 370 contacts of the lady who travelled through Queensland while infected had been identified and 172 of those had returned negative test…
