Gatton, Ipswich to swelter through heatwave: BOM

Heatwave conditions are expected to continue to cause havoc for Queenslanders on Sunday, with warnings temperatures could exceed 40C in some parts of the state’s southeast.
Temperatures in Ipswich could reach 41C and Gatton 42C, while Brisbane will reach 34C.
On Saturday, Birdsville in the state’s west broke its December record by hitting 48C.
But a cool change slowly making its way across the state means the outback town will hit 33C on Sunday.
The cool change is yet to hit other areas, with sweltering conditions set to hang around parts…
