Fragments of coronavirus detected in wastewater treatment plants at Daylesford, Benalla

Victorians living in popular tourist hot spots Daylesford and Benalla are being urged to monitor for coronavirus symptoms after two new detections of the virus in the regions wastewater.The Department of Health warned the viral fragments had been detected in wastewater samples recently taken from the inlet to wastewater treatment plants at Daylesford and Benalla.
It followed the detection of viral fragments in Moonee Ponds Main and Ringwood South Branch sewer catchments announced earlier this week.
