Federal Budget 2020: ‘Scandalous’ Vales Point coal project slammed
Green groups are crying foul over a million-dollar upgrade to a coal fired power station that is due to close in nine years. Taxpayers will be funding upgrades to Delta Electricity’s Vales Point Power Station on the NSW Central Coast, which was found to have increased its dangerous fine particle pollution by 3000 per cent over the past six years and 181 per cent last year, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
