Extradition order for Indian murder suspect

An extradition order has been issued for the return of a man who fled to India a day after a woman was found dead on a beach in far north Queensland.
Toyah Cordingley was killed at Wangetti Beach, some 40km north of Cairns, in October 2018 after she had taken her dog for a walk on a Sunday afternoon.
Her body was found on Monday by her father Troy Cordingley.
Assistant Minister to the Attorney-General Amanda Stoker said the extradition request to India had been finalised and would be formally lodged with Indian authorities.
