Europe on the brink of second coronavirus wave after massive rise in infections

For the first time since March, the coronavirus is spreading like wildfire through Europe sparking fears the continent is on the brink of a second wave.Britain’s viral reproduction rate, or R number, exceeded 1.0 for the first time since March, and one study found it is 1.7 in England, which means cases could soon be doubling every seven to eight days.
