Emergency authorisation sought for coronavirus vaccines by Pfizer and Oxford-AstraZeneca in India

Emergency authorisation has been sought for the use of Pfizer and Oxford-AstraZeneca’s coronavirus vaccines in India, following the lead of the UK and Russia.

The Serum Institute of India, the world’s largest vaccine producer by volume, sought emergency authorisation in the country for Oxford-AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine.

The move came close on the heels of Pfizer applying for a similar authorisation of its coronavirus…
