Eight rescued from boat sinking off Rockhampton

Eight people have been rescued from a boat feared sinking off the central Queensland coast.
An Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beach was activated at 10.40am, with police locating the vessel shortly after midday.
The Courier Mail is reporting the vessel was carrying four adults and four children.
The vessel was in the Stanage Bay area, approximately 60 nautical miles east of Rockhampton, when it began to take on water.
