Drunk driver Jerome Pilot apologises in court over fatal Bray Park crash

A drunk driver who destroyed the lives of three families has apologised for his actions on the day of his sentencing.

Dion Dundy was killed, while Daniel Hegarty and Christine Extross suffered horrific injuries when Jerome Pilot got behind the wheel of a car while more than four times the legal limit.

The friends left a party at Bray Park, north of Brisbane, just before midnight on September 28, 2018.

After driving for just 1.5 kilometres, Pilot lost control of the speeding vehicle.
