A cuddly toy with teething rings lies among a roadside vigil left by a community devastated by the loss of a pregnant woman and her partner who were killed while walking their dogs on Tuesday.
A steady stream of heartbroken locals placed flowers, gifts and notes at the site of the cruel tragedy on Wednesday.
Kate Leadbetter, 31, and Matty Field, 37, had been at the intersection of Vienna and Finucane Roads at Alexandra Hills in Brisbane when they were hit by an allegedly stolen Land Cruiser.
