Demand for $25k HomeBuilder grants skyrocketed before Dec 31 deadline
More than 75,000 Aussies have cashed in on lucrative government incentives to build and renovate their homes. New figures show demand for the $25,000 HomeBuilder grants increased by almost three-fold in the few weeks leading up to the December 31 deadline.
Four in five grant applications were for new builds, which is set to boost economic activity and reverse the construction downturn prompted by the coronavirus pandemic.
