Cyber attack forces Eastern Health to shutdown IT systems, delay surgeries at Melbourne hospitals
A suspected cyber attack has forced hospitals in Melbournes east to take their IT systems offline and delay some surgeries.Eastern Health – which operates Box Hill, Marrondah and Healesville hospitals – shut down its IT systems “as a precaution” after a “cyber incident” late on Tuesday.
In a statement, Eastern Health said patient safety had not been compromised.
