Coronavirus US: Death toll to reach 300,000 by December
Researchers are predicting the US death toll from coronavirus could reach nearly 300,000 by December 1, almost doubling the current death toll in just a few short months.“The US forecast totals 295,011 deaths by December,” according to a statement from the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME).
“The public’s behaviour had a direct correlation to the transmission of the virus and, in turn, the numbers of deaths,” IHME Director Dr. Christopher Murray told CNN.
