A woman has been caught on camera pelting shoe boxes at staff at a Sketchers store in the United States after being asked to wear a face mask.The incident took place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where coronavirus cases are currently on the rise.

Employees told police that they approached the woman and instructed her that she needed to wear a mask, as per their store policy, ABC News reported.
They themselves were wearing masks and gloves.
Oklahoma recorded 687 new coronavirus cases today alone. Bars and restaurants in Oklahoma City mandate the use of masks in most cases, but other businesses, including retailers, have their own store policies.

The customer ignored the request and continued to peruse the shelves.
One employee then suggested that she go to Lowe’s and purchase a mask before returning.
This made the woman livid.
The customer grabbed the two things nearest to her — shoe boxes — and hurled them in the face of the young, masked retail worker.
An audible thud could be heard as the shoe boxes connected with the worker’s head and thigh.
“That’s assault, ma’am,” the worker said calmly.
Gesturing to the person filming, the worker thought quickly on her feet, saying: “Let’s get her licence number.”
The ballsy worker chased the customer into the carpark and demanded to know her name.
However, as luck would have it, the woman had already left a key piece of evidence which would lead police right to her.
She had forgotten her wallet, which was still in the store.
Social media users didn’t take kindly to the woman’s behaviour.
“Remember what we were told? ‘If you don’t like it, then stay home?’ Well … STAY HOME!” one person said.
“This is what threatened privilege looks like,” said another.
“Can we just be like, decent human beings still? Hoping it’s possible.”
The internet has dubbed her “Shoebox Karen.”
