China’s is using trade as a ‘weapon’ against Australia: expert
Australia has several cards it can play in its fight against China, trade experts say.Beijing authorities last week slapped tariffs of up to 212 per cent on Australian wine imports in a move that will render the market unviable.
Trade Minister Simon Birmingham said the government was considering pursuing the attack on its goods through independent umpire, the World Trade Organisation.
But experts say this is just one option up the government’s sleeve.
