Several boxing pundits owe British boxer Daniel Dubois an apology after he suffered a career-altering injury during Sundays bout with Joe Joyce.Touted as the underdog leading into the encounter, Joyce shut up his critics and Dubois’ eye with a masterclass performance of jabbing and resilience.
Dubois walked straight into a jab from Joyce early in the tenth round and dropped to a knee, only to be counted out by the referee. He was taken straight to hospital after the defeat.
