France’s education minister is pushing ahead with the start of the school year on September 1, despite a rise in virus infections.
“Our schools will resume, must resume,” French Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer told journalists in Paris on Wednesday.
“We will benefit from the experience of May and June,” when French schools partially reopened after a two-month lockdown, he said.
