A reality TV star has revealed he was the body double for one of the leading characters in Muriels Wedding.Bruce Hopkins aka Hoppo from Bondi Rescue was the body double for Daniel Lapaine in the 1994 hit film.
Lapaine played South African swimmer David Van Arkle who had a sham marriage with Muriel.
“Lifeguarding wasn’t 12 months a year, it was only a seasonal job, so I had to pick up extra work in between,” Hoppo explains in an episode of Bondi Rescue set to air tomorrow night on Ten at 7.30pm….
