Australia’s eSafety commissioner would be able to remove ‘seriously harmful’ content under proposed cyber abuse laws

Victims of serious cyber abuse are being promised more protection under planned new laws released by the Federal Government.

Communications Minister Paul Fletcher said in a world-first, adult-cyber-abuse scheme, Australia’s eSafety commissioner would be able to order the removal of “seriously harmful” content within 24 hours if a legitimate complaint had been ignored.
