Australian sharemarket suffers worst weekly fall since April
The Australian sharemarket finished the last trading day of the month on a sour note, racking up its worst weekly fall since April.The S&P/ASX200 was flat towards the end of trade but tumbled in the final moments to close 0.6 per cent lower at 5928 while the All Ordinaries Index dropped the same amount to 6133.
The Australian Securities Exchange says the All Ords lost 3.77 per cent over the past five days.
CommSec analyst Steve Daghlian described the day as “choppy and unremarkable”.
