Australian sharemarket chalks up sixth straight month of gains

The Australian sharemarket ended the March quarter on a high, recouping all of Monday and Tuesdays losses to finish the month up 1.76 per cent, the sixth straight month of improvement.The S&P/ASX200 closed 0.78 per cent stronger at 6790.7 while the All Ordinaries Index appreciated 0.68 per cent to 7017.
