Australian Banking Association: less than half of deferred home loans are being repaid
Not even half of the deferred home loans are being repaid after banks put mortgage repayments on hold to help struggling Aussies amid the pandemic crisis. Based on data collected by the Australian Banking Association from seven of Australia’s largest banks, as of last week, only 45 per cent of deferred mortgages are back to making regular loan repayments.
