Western Australias royal commission into Crown Resorts has begun, the second major probe into the beleaguered casino giant in the wake of damning findings by the NSW regulator around money laundering at its Perth and Melbourne venues.Royal commissions into the company in WA and Victoria were sparked by revelations from last year’s NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority inquiry, which found Crown was not suitable to hold a gaming licence for its new $2.2bn Barangaroo casino in Sydney.
