Allianz in legal fight over car insurance ‘rip-off’

Legal firm Maurice Blackburn Lawyers has launched a class action against insurer Allianz on behalf of motorists who were allegedly sold worthless add-on insurance through car dealers. A 26-year-old casual employee brought the case forward after he claims he was hoodwinked into purchasing more than $3000 in unnecessary Allianz insurance products in 2015.
The insurance was part of a loan agreement for a $20,000 Ford Falcon XR6.
