AFL: Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson warning on shorter quarters in 2021
Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson has warned the AFL against taking shorter quarters into 2021, declaring the quality of games has been significantly impacted this season and that should trump financial gains. Amid reports league heavyweights are looking at continuing with shorter quarters next season, at 18 minutes, potentially to help get more games and offset those lost in 2020, Clarkson said they could kill the goose that laid the golden egg.
