New research shows retesting four weeks later could curb COVID-19 infection risk
A new study released today reveals current guidelines on testing for coronavirus and how long people should isolate for could be due for review. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends people infected with COVID-19 should isolate for 14 days.
Those recommendations were based on studies that showed there was less chance of generating new infections at this stage.
But Italian researchers say that evidence for those recommendations are weak.
