Cyber attack cost Melbourne company $2 million

Gillian Franklin, founder and managing director of cosmetic wholesale company The Heat Group, knows all too well what its like to be hacked by cybercriminals. Her business, which turns around $130 million a year distributing beauty products including popular brands Max Factor and Covergirl, lost $2 million when a hacker got into her files last year.
The business owner came close to losing everything she had built over 20 years when she discovered her entire online business had been hacked.
