Black market cat drugs studied as COVID-19 treatment – Sydney Morning Herald
Australian pet owners have been paying thousands of dollars to illegally import experimental cat drugs that are being looked at as potential COVID-19 treatment.
Researchers reported in NatureCommunications last week that GC376 inhibited the growth of the virus that causes COVID-19.
GS-441524 is also in the early stages of COVID-19 research, and has been tested on at least one patient.
