RSPCA Queensland rescues wallaby trapped in car grill north of Cairns

A Queensland family were shocked to find a wallaby they had hit had survived hours trapped in their car.
The agile wallaby – also known as the sandy wallaby found in northern Australia – survived against all odds after it was hit by a car near Laura, three and a half hours north-west of Cairns, late Thursday afternoon.
The family were driving from Bamaga to Cairns when they hit the young marsupial.
They stopped the car to look for it but presumed it had hopped into the bush when they couldn’t…
