Judge considers ‘zipper-mouth’ emoji in Sydney lawyers’ defamation fight – Sydney Morning Herald

“An ’emoji’ is a more recent invention, consisting of pictographs of faces, objects and symbols; as the name would suggest, the origin of these pictographs is from use in Japan.”
The tweets at the centre of the case include a May 27 post by Mr Houda, linking to an earlier article in the Herald, which reported a judge’s suggestion that Ms Burrows’ conduct in one case unrelated to Mr Mehajer be referred to the Law Society for potential disciplinary action.
