Sales at electronics and furniture seller Harvey Norman have soared nearly 40 per cent through July and August despite lockdowns in Victoria and New Zealand.

The strong sales have continued into the new financial year, climbing 38.4 per cent on a comparable basis in Australia despite 18 stores being closed in Victoria and rising nearly 20 per cent in New Zealand, despite stricter lockdowns due to the Auckland COVID-19 outbreak.
