More than 360 people moved from Sydney hotel after being found unfit for quarantine – SBS
NSW Police said the hotel did not “meet the expectations required as part of the quarantine program”, but did not elaborate on the reasons for the relocation operation.
Authorities have begun relocating 366 returned travellers from a hotel in Sydney after police found the location was not suitable for mandatory quarantine.
The relocation of travellers quarantined at the Travelodge in Surry Hills began on Tuesday afternoon, with the evacuation process expected to take 12 hours.
A NSW Police spokesperson said the force conducts regular audits of hotels used for the 14-day mandatory quarantine of people returning to Australia from overseas.
