South Sydney hooker Damien Cook urges NRL to consider all factors before changing contract rules
South Sydney hooker Damien Cook has urged the NRL to consider all factors before approving a proposal to stop players breaking contracts with their current club to take up lucrative deals with a rival.The NRL is examining a plan to put an end to players quitting clubs when they are enticed away by the lure of a big payday.
The suggested ruling comes because of several recent cases including that of Ryan Matterson, who quit the Tigers last year in bitter circumstances for a move to the Eels.
