Police call for public information over death of Aysha Baty

Police believe Aysha Baty was assaulted “a number of times” with a cricket bat and suffered multiple stab wounds before she died at the weekend.
The 31-year-old was found dead on a Nambour street in the early hours of Saturday, after suffering numerous head and chest injuries.
“She was assaulted a number of times with a cricket bat, and suffered multiple stab wounds,” Detective Senior Sergeant Daren Edwards said at a press conference.
