Russian powerlifter fractures both knees after 400kg squat goes wrong

You needed a strong stomach to watch the strongmen on show at the World Raw Powerlifting Federation European Championships in Russia this week.Alexander Sedykh, who arrived at the event near Moscow as the reigning champion in the squat, suffered the most gruesome of injuries after failing in his attempt to lift 400kg.
As Sedykh attempted to thrust upward both of his knees gave out and the entire weight transferred through his legs.
He fractured both knees and needed his quadricep muscles reatt…
