Investigation after man absconds from Queensland hotel quarantine
An internal police investigation has been launched after a man escaped from mandatory hotel quarantine in Queensland, with the deputy commissioner saying it was “not good enough”.
The man fled from a Toowoomba hotel but has now returned to quarantine after turning himself in.
He previously tested negative for COVID-19 but will be tested again to ensure he has not spread the virus.
