Transurban posts loss as coronavirus dents business activity

Major road builder and toll provider Transurban says subdued traffic levels have had a significant impact on its business. Transurban posted a loss of $153 million for the 12 months ending June 30, a 190.1 per cent slump compared with the corresponding period in 2019.
The group’s earnings before tax and interest was down 6.4 per cent compared with 2019 at $1.89 billion, while its free cash flow dropped 3.3 per cent to $1.48 billion over the period.
