Police arrest alleged border jumper on Kirra Beach
Police intercepted a bus and arrested a man wanted on an arrest warrant trying to enter Queensland in the second similar case in 24 hours.
On Monday, dozens of police chased an alleged “runner” understood to have bolted near a busy border checkpoint.
The second arrest occurred after a man was arrested on the Gold Coast on Tuesday when police at the border checkpoint at Griffith St, Coolangatta, stopped a bus and a man in his 30s was arrested.
