Australia can still get everyone vaccinated by Christmas, according to a former health department secretary.
Jane Halton, who is the adviser responsible for a major review of the Australian quarantine system, said 150,000 Australians needed to be vaccinated every day to hit that target.
She told the Today show 141,000 Australians were vaccinated on Friday.
“If we can get to 150,000 people a day we can get there by Christmas,” she said.
“It’s a big task, a big challenge.”
