Two people charged with drug, weapons offences at Queensland border

Two people have been charged after police found a firearm, ammunition and drugs during a routine border checkpoint inspection on the Gold Coast.

Police intercepted a car at 8.45pm on Wednesday, July 22 at Tugun and discovered drugs inside the vehicle as well as a modified pump action shotgun and ammunition in a bag in the boot.

A 24-year-old Waterford man has been charged with unlawful possession of weapons, explosives offences, bringing stolen goods into Queensland, forgery and unlawful use…
