Eiffel Tower-size asteroid to fly past Earth on June 1

A potentially hazardous asteroid as tall as Frances Eiffel Tower is due to fly past Earth on June 1, NASA has warned. Named 2021 KT1, the huge space rock will make a “close” approach to our planet at around 10.24am EDT (12.24am June 2 AEST), at a distance of around 7.2 million kilometres, which is nearly 19 times the distance between the Earth and the moon.
It will fly past Earth at a speed of roughly 64,374km/h, which, according to Newsweek, is 20 times the speed of a rifle bullet.
